Ingredients: Red chili peppers, sweet paprika, salt, fenugreek, ginger, onion, coriander, cardamom. garlic, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.


Berbere is an essential ingredient in ethiopian doro wot and other ethiopean favorites. Spicy and citrusy Berbere offers a range of flavors allowing it to be used in many different ways. Best known to be used with chicken you can also apply this blend to pork, fish or lentils. Try as a rub with olive oil, or add to greek yogurt for a marinade or dip. The yogurt cools the heat slightly and tenderized the chicken in a marinade. Mix berbere with olive oil, fresh garlic and fresh chopped parsley then mix and brush on pizza dough. Top with a dollop of goat cheese, bake and you're done!
